Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, your role is to contribute to the achievement of sales targets through key accounts across all distribution channels. The vacancy is the South.

 

Candidates who reside within this territory would be looked upon favourably.

 

The successful candidate will effectively execute sales and marketing campaigns across Merial’s Companion Animal product range. You will be responsible for developing account management and territory management plans that identify key customers and ensure campaigns are effectively implemented to optimise coverage and penetration across the territory.

 

You will maintain the CRM system to a high standard, capture and analyse data relevant to individual customers, identify any issues and potential opportunities, and access the appropriate resources internally to meet those needs.  Your skills on Word, Excel and PowerPoint are at an intermediate to advanced level. Naturally you will support the Regional Business Manager and colleagues in the field by being a strong team player, actively contributing to sales meetings, communicating market information, and providing input to the business planning cycle.

 

We are interested in talking to candidates who have a strong and demonstrable track record of achievement of sales targets, preferably gained in an industry which requires detailing products with a strong technical basis. Previous experience selling business to business is essential, as well as managing a sales territory. Naturally you possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. The ability to work from home and be self-motivated is essential. Occasional travel to the Head Office in Sydney is required, in addition to your territory travel which includes regional trips, generally every 4 weeks.
