International Certified Master Groomers (ICMG’s), have a vast knowledge in the area of Pet Grooming, Breed Standards and Animal Hygiene.
ICMG’s are required to undertake numerous exams on a variety of dogs, including, working dogs, non sporting, gundog, terrier & poodle. Not only do they have to undertake written exams they are also required to undergo practical exams by providing dogs of all classes and being able to groom to the very high standard expected of the International Certifier. After successful completion of the Exams (can take groomers up to 2 years to complete the study requirements) each groomer is then granted their ICMG status. To maintain the ICMG status it is also a requirement to adhere to a code of practice and uphold a high code of ethics. You can find your local PIAA ICMG Member below (if you click on the company name you will be taken to the website).
