About the Role
DOGUE is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to drive the success of the store! As the Assistant Manager, you will be confident and energetic, helping to lead a great team of Retail Assistants and Groomers, drive sales and customer experience.

  • Assist the Manager in managing the day-to-day store operations
  • Lead the team of Retail Assistants and Groomers
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience for both our two and four-legged customers
  • Driving sales and achieve retail and services targets
  • Create and implement local marketing to attract new clients

Experienced Pet Stylist Role – Exciting Opportunity!

Is being a dog groomer more of a passion and career than a job, if so we want you!  We are looking for a special person with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our team. This position is for 30 – 38 hrs per week.

We are a group of 6 grooming salons in Brisbane with a large database of clientele and a high rate of return visits. This role gives you an opportunity to work in our high volume boutique salon situated in Hawthorne.

The ideal applicant will be highly motivated, supportive of others and display excellent customer service.  Skills required - competency with using attachment combs, teddy bear haircuts and breed specific trims such as schnauzer, bichon, westie, poodle lamb trims with a requirement to groom 6-8 dogs daily.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Respond to order & product queries both via email and over the phone;
  • Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of product ranges, relevant processes, and policies;

About the role

Newcastle Pet Resort (NPR) is a leader in Dog Boarding, Doggy Daycare and Dog Training in the Hunter Region NSW

We are currently recruiting for a permanent / casual Balanced Canine Trainer to join the team at NPR. The successful applicant should be confident, polite and has good dog training skills.  Will be responsible for the delivery of various group training classes for clients and their pets and providing individual social / behavioural / obedience training for specific clients and their animals.

Role duties & responsibilities

  • enhance the reputation of NPR as the preferred provider of animal social / behaviour/ obedience training by assisting with the delivery of animal training classes, to meet the needs of the owner and their pet
  • contribute to building the NPR reputation in delivering best practice training programs, through the effective delivery of general and specific behavioural and training advice based on up-to-date, balance reinforcement based techniques
  • contribute to the continual improvement and development of the dog training syllabus through review and feedback to the Head Canine Trainer
  • ensure the values and direction of NPR are met by effectively consulting and communicating with NPR co-workers and management, along with being actively involved in maintaining a safe workplace.

  • sound dog training skills and experience with a variety of ages and class types
  • experience and a passion for balanced reinforcement training techniques
  • ability to work confidently in a team environment and autonomously as required
