Animal Attendant Team Leader – Beau’s Pet Hotel

We are now seeking skilled and qualified Animal Attendant Team Leaders to supervise day to day operations and provide exceptional care to dogs and cats staying at Beau’s Pet Hotel.

The responsibilities of the Animal Attendant Team Leader include;

  • Providing supervision and support to Animal Attendants in day to day animal husbandry including cleaning, feeding, medicating and grooming
  • Performing daily checks, reporting and other operational duties
  • Managing and providing enrichment activities and specialised care to all pet guests
  • Supervising Doggy Daycare
  • Providing basic first aid to pet guests where required
  • Providing high level communication to managers and team members
  • Working as an integral member of the Beau’s team
  • Delivering memorable customer service

It is important to us that our Animal Attendant Team Leaders have tertiary qualifications in companion animal care or equivalent, previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role and the flexibility to work across a 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.  Demonstrated animal handling skills in a kennel, cattery or shelter environment will also be highly regarded.

  • Behavioural modification for dogs in structured training programs
  • Coordinating and delivering group classes
  • Home dog training and personalised one-on-one lessons with clients
  • Responding to enquiries and supporting our sales team when required
  • Building and maintaining rapport with clients and dogs

Pet Grooming Assistant – Great Opportunity!

Are you an animal lover who just loves meeting new pet friends and making them feel amazing?

We are looking for special people to join our friendly grooming team. Several opportunities exist for casual entry-level pet grooming assistants within our grooming salons in Brisbane. As a pet grooming assistant you will help the Senior Groomers to wash, groom and care for our loving client’s fur babies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Washing and blow drying in readiness for grooming
  • Pampering our client’s to ensure they enjoy the experience
  • Supporting the grooming team to ensure our clients receive the best care
  • Managing the cleanliness of the grooming salon
  • Greeting and welcoming owners and pets as required

Previous animal handling experience would be desirable, if not, our talented Senior Groomers will provide you with training. We also provide ongoing training with the opportunity to further develop your grooming skills.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a love for animals, be kind and caring
  • Motivated, a team player and be willing to learn
  • Ideally, but not essential, the applicant will have previous animal handling skills

Remuneration will be based on experience; this position is casual and will be paid hourly. Immediate start, roster dependant on applicant’s availability.

We are now seeking 2 x skilled and qualified Animal Attendant Team Leaders to supervise day to day operations and provide exceptional care to dogs, cats and a variety of small animals staying at Beau’s Pet Hotel. The 2 positions are as follows:

1 x Full time, Monday – Friday (weekday) Animal Attendant Team Leader
1 x Part time, Saturday – Sunday (weekend) Animal Attendant Team Leader

Dog Trainer/Animal Handler – Melbourne

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • To ensure the optimum planning and satisfaction of customer orders and customer needs in the most efficient way;
  • Respond to order & product queries both via email and over the phone;
  • Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of product ranges, relevant processes, and policies;
  • Professional effective communication with key stakeholders both internally and externally;
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by continuously improving the understanding of customer needs.

Required skills and attributes:

  • Extensive knowledge of pets and current pet care product;
  • A positive “can-do” attitude with a high level of initiative;

About the role

Newcastle Pet Resort (NPR) is a leader in Dog Boarding, Doggy Daycare and Dog Training in the Hunter Region NSW

We are currently recruiting for a permanent / casual Balanced Canine Trainer to join the team at NPR. The successful applicant should be confident, polite and has good dog training skills.  Will be responsible for the delivery of various group training classes for clients and their pets and providing individual social / behavioural / obedience training for specific clients and their animals.

Role duties & responsibilities

  • enhance the reputation of NPR as the preferred provider of animal social / behaviour/ obedience training by assisting with the delivery of animal training classes, to meet the needs of the owner and their pet
  • contribute to building the NPR reputation in delivering best practice training programs, through the effective delivery of general and specific behavioural and training advice based on up-to-date, balance reinforcement based techniques
  • contribute to the continual improvement and development of the dog training syllabus through review and feedback to the Head Canine Trainer
  • ensure the values and direction of NPR are met by effectively consulting and communicating with NPR co-workers and management, along with being actively involved in maintaining a safe workplace.

Skills & experience required

  • sound dog training skills and experience with a variety of ages and class types
  • experience and a passion for balanced reinforcement training techniques
  • ability to work confidently in a team environment and autonomously as required
