Additional New Species submission…

Zebra Loach

Zebra Loach

 Update from the AIAA

The AIAA's new importable species subcommittee are proud to announce the applications for 4 new species have just been submitted to the Department of Agriculture, Water & the Environment (DAWE) for consideration.

 The species are

  • Red Tailed Loach

  • Skunk Loach

  • Zebra Loach

  • Burmese Loach

Exciting times indeed as we now progress 4 more species in addition to the previous 3 through the time consuming approval process. Although the preparation of these applications has been far more time consuming, tedious and expensive than first anticipated, we are very happy with the quality of the work being produced. The sub committee continue to work on finalising further species applications to follow in coming weeks.

I would like to personally thank both Anthony Ramsey & Jared Patrick for the time and resources they have invested in this project. Id also like to thank Kevin Erickson for his final input and proof reading and the AIAA committee at large for entrusting this project to the subcommittee.

Most importantly I would like to also thank the following financial donors (in no particular order) whom without their generous contributions this project couldn't have happened:
