President & National Director
Tim Scotcher
Central Pet

Pets have always been a big part of my life. Having owned and bred Birds, Guinea pigs, Rabbits, Fish, Turtles & Dogs. We even had a Goat as a pet when we were kids (pun intended).

I believe that pets bring so much joy and happiness to a family and every home should have one.

I started my animal health work life way back in 1996 when I joined Bayer as a part of their Traineeship program, I then spent some time in IT and then at Mars in confectionery before returning to my true passion of pet care when joined Masterpet in 2008 and then Blackmores and now at Cenversa (Central Pet) where I have been since the beginning of 2020.

I am extremely excited by the opportunities ahead of us as an association and I look forward to working with my fellow directors to help support our members. I feel now more than ever we need a strong association dedicated to supporting the industry and promoting responsible pet ownership. Outside of work, I enjoy all sports, love spending time with friends and family and of course, hanging out with our rescue dog who is a blue heeler cross called Bodhi.

Suppliers & Manufacturers Director
Graeme Faulkner
Aqua Depot Imports

I have been obsessed with everything aquatic since when I can remember, this lead me into aquariums as a teenager and at the same time into the aquarium industry.

I had a successful aquarium retail business in nth QLD from 1985 to 1990 then decided to make Western Australia home and opened new aquarium retail stores in Perth from 91 until 2020 at the same time moving into aquarium wholesale in 2004 Over this time I have seen a very positive growth and change in the pet and aquarium industry.

I have personally benefitted from the integral part that companion animals bring to Australian life and well being.

I have a life time of experience in this industry and would like to give back what I can to strengthen the industry and consumers perception.

I am now solely focused on the wholesale sector of the aquarium industry and feel after 18 years in wholesale, I can understand and support the distribution and manufacturing sector of the industry and am excited and look forward to my new directors roll with PIAA.

National Director
Sandra King
King Insurance

I have worked in insurance for 30 plus years and known in the industry. Prior to commencing my own business I have worked with clients in the pet industry (and other occupations), with specific challenge to create products for the pet industry not previously on offer. Over the years I have expressed my passion for the Pet Industry and carried this into my own business King Insurance Services.

I love to meet people and support members and clients by attending shows and assisting with business training etc. As a business and association it is important to support and assist others. My clients, like  our fellow members are scattered around Australia, different locations require or need different assistance / products. Geographical concerns are important to PIAA members as well. I believe COVID-19 has shown this.

It is important to me that I assist members of the PIAA. Together we can make a difference and grow as an association. The Pet Industry needs us all and we all bring different skills to the table.
