2022 RSPCA Animal Welfare Seminar…

There is just two weeks left to register for the 2022 RSPCA Animal Welfare Seminar being held online on the afternoons of Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 February.

The 2022 seminar, Animal welfare in a changing climate, will explore the impact of climate change on animal welfare. This includes the devastating effects of climate-induced events, approaches to managing animals in disasters, and adaptions and actions required to help address climate change and build resilience in our natural world and the animals in our care.

Registration is free and we highly encourage anyone with an interest in animal welfare, climate change, or environmental issues to attend.

You’ll have the chance to hear from an experienced and engaging line-up of speakers, including keynote speakers:

Professor Chris Dickman - Professor in Terrestrial Ecology, School of Life and Environment Sciences, University of Sydney

Professor Lesley Hughes, Distinguished Professor of Bioloy and Pro Vice-Chancellor Research at Macquarie University and Councillor with the Climate Council of Australia.

You’ll also have the chance to hear directly from the not-for-profit sector about the impacts of climate change on animal welfare during our NGA panel, featuring the Australian Conservation Foundation, Farmers of Climate Action, Vets for Climate Action, WWF Australia and Zoos Victora.

Got to the RSPCA website to read the program, see the full list of speakers and register.
