ACT Barks and Recreation offers boutique daycare services for small to medium sized dogs from the Canberra Region. We pride ourselves in having a balanced program with qualified staff to care for your favourite family member. We take a Fear Free approach to ensure your pup has a low-stress and fun experience every time they visit with us.
Each day your pup will join us for a walk in the Kingston area, relax and reset during naptime and take part in one-on-one enrichment or training activities with our staff. For the rest of the day, we have an outdoor play yard and an indoor space if the weather gets bad. Before your first visit, we will undertake a daycare suitability assessment with your pup to ensure that daycare is a good fit for them.
Alongside our daycare services, we also operate Canberra's only Dog Toy Library. We know that enrichment plays an important part in your dog's cognitive function and mental stimulation. Enrichment toys are well known for easing boredom, reducing destructive behaviour and offering stress relief (to you and your dog!). We believe that enrichment toys should be affordable and not end up in landfill once your dog needs a bigger challenge. Our toy library aims to reduce the cost of pet ownership by offering puppy packs, seasonal items such as cooling mats and jackets, enrichment toys and medical cones for hire.
