The AusPet Industry Expo makes its much-anticipated return

The AusPet Industry Expo is making its return this year, with the event to be held from 17-18 September at Essendon Fields, Melbourne.

A joint venture between the Pet Industry Association of Australia (PIAA) and IndePet, the tradeshow has already locked in over 50 exhibitors, and has a number of networking and educational elements.

Anthony Ramsey, CEO of the PIAA, said the return of the event is an important milestone for not only the PIAA, but the broader pet industry.

“This is Australia’s only businesses to business, pet trade event, and provides the perfect environment for exhibitors to properly network and promote their business and brands to hundreds of independent retailers, representing pet, aquarium, boarding and grooming sectors. Exhibitor space has already sold out and I thank all the exhibitors for backing the return of this event.

“AusPet Industry Expo, offers a one stop shop for new and old retail businesses alike to catch up with current suppliers, find new suppliers and usually save a few dollars by taking advantage of the many amazing show only deals that exhibitors offer.”

Ramsey explained there is a great diversity of exhibitors, so no matter what type of retail pet business attendees operate, there will be plenty of suppliers and offers on display.

“The show will also see attendees charged with voting for Australia’s best new pet products (dog, cat, grooming, aquatic & other) on display in the new product showcase.”

Todd Clarkson, CEO of IndePet, said they are proud to partner with the PIAA to bring back the AusPet Industry Expo.

“These types of events help strengthen the industry and build the networks for future growth.

“At Indepet we are focused on ensuring the longevity and prosperity of independent pet stores and we are proud to support events like this to achieve that goal.”

Alongside the tradeshow, there will be plenty of opportunity to network with old and new acquaintances.

“The comradery and social aspects of the event is also critically important to bring all of the Australian pet industry together again in one place,” said Ramsey. “This will be on display at our networking drinks and PIAA industry achievement awards evening, held at the culmination of the first day.”

The AusPet Industry Expo will be held at Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields – Australian Events Centre 1 Larkin Blvd, Essendon Fields, on 17-18 September. It is free entry and tickets are available here.
