The Pet Show - Melbourne - A resounding success!
The PIAA recently attended The Pet Show at Melbourne showgrounds on March 25th & 26th. All I can say is WOW! It was an amazing event that the organisers (The Event Crowd) should be proud of. The weekend saw over sixteen and a half thousand people attend over the weekend.
The event was well planned with a unique two hall layout with over 160 exhibitors offering everything for pet fanatics be they dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles or small animals. The show also has a big focus on presentations and experiences, including interactive kids zones, educational seminars for every type of pet. a scaly touch zone, aquarium aquascaping competition, grooming competition and much more.
The atmosphere throughout the weekend was pumping with a steady flow of attendees spread over both days. The organisers did a great job at media exposure both through social media and traditional TV media exposure.
PIAA had pop up booth right at the entrance of both halls which gave us and our member awesome exposure. We handed out more than 1000 PIAA flyers which promoted the benefits of chooisng a PIAA member business and directed people to our member locator on our website to find a member near them. Our booths included TV’s constantly looping, displaying the logos and location of our Victorian and online members businesses.
I’d like to offer thank our directors, Paul Talbot, Sandra King and Jo Marsden and well as David Ellis from DogDayz who all volunteered to help staff our booths and run the grooming competition organised by Jo Marsden (See grooming update).
The next Pet Show rolls into Brisbane Showgrounds on July 1st and 2nd. I would encourage any brand or Brisbane based business to get involved. Based on the success in Melbourne, you won’t be disappointed.
