New warnings about ticks transmitting deadly disease to dogs in Australia…
Ehrlichiosis is a deadly disease in dogs caused by the bite of a brown tick infected with an exotic pathogen Ehrlichia Canis (E.canis) and animal health authorities are on alert for it spreading to other parts of the country.

New trade fair dates for Interzoo & Zoomark in 2021 & 2022…
As a consequence of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and in the interests of trade fair participants within the pet industry, WZF (Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe GmbH), organizer of Interzoo, and BolognaFiere S.p.A., organizer of ZOOMARK INTERNATIONAL, have decided to modify their event calendar for 2021 and 2022. From 1 to 4 June 2021, Interzoo digital will take place as a purely online event, while ZOOMARK INTERNATIONAL will be welcoming the pet industry back to Bologna, Italy, in November 2021. In May 2022 Interzoo will return as an in-person event in Nuremberg, Germany.

Calling for dogs for anti-cancer drug trials…
Biotech company PharmAust is calling for more dogs with B cell lymphoma in a Phase IIb trial to help evaluate its newly formulated anti-cancer drug Monapantel (MPL), shown to be safe and effective for dogs that have not undergone any treatment for this cancer.
